Jig and a minnow has remained the most favorable presentation, remaining in 10-14' of water. North shore between Pigeon and Farley Creek has been popular targeted area.
Anticipating a fabulous, upcoming holiday weekend on Lake Winnie!! Fishermen have been working the 10-12' break lines, with a jig and a shiner.
Pleasant temperatures and mild winds this week have been favorable for fishing. Hitting the shorelines has been the trick. 10-14' of water, using fatheads or shiners.
Frigid Temperatures and gusty NW winds made it difficult to fish the main lake. Many of our guests hit Big Cutfoot or hovered the north shore of Winnie. Fishing with a jig and shiner in about 14' of water. Water temps are at about 50 degrees.
Bait Update!!! Just talked to our bait distributor this morning, they will not be selling spot tail shiners wholesale. Therefore High Banks will have golden shiners available this weekend for opener!!!
Is it just me.....or is everyone else dreaming about Walleyes too!!! Remember the slot size is 18-23" release. You may keep one over 23" or any size under 18". With a limit of 6 fish!!
