Our Access re-opened on Thursday Jan 26 for truck travel and wheel houses. Off road conditions are extremely rough due to the re-freezing. Use caution.
Our Access is closed to the public temporarily until Friday, January 27, 2017 due to the warm temperatures. We are experiencing large amounts of pooled water on top of the ice and slush. 24" of ice. Weather forecast in indicating colder temps arriving Wednesday evening into Thursday. Our landing should be ready to roll on Friday. Our access is open to only guests staying at High Banks Resort.
Ice update****Our access is in good shape. Wheel houses welcome! Milder temperatures this week have
minimized the snow cover off road. Still areas with drifts though. Use caution off road. Perch bite has been best in 5-15'. Walleyes in 19'. Temps through the weekend forecasted to be in the 30's!!! See you at the Lake!!! We currently have 17-19" of ice with about 4-6 inches of snow cover. We have plowed roads 2 1/2 miles out to the humps. Wheel houses welcome. Areas of drifted and hard packed snow, off road, travel with caution. Best fishing reports are in 15-16 feet of water for perch and walleyes.
Ice Update!! Our Access is Open!! We have plowed roads 1 1/2 miles to 2 miles out to the NW of the resort. We received 7" of fresh snow from the storm. We have 15-16" of ice and will be accepting truck travel and wheel house access starting tomorrow, Jan 5. The lodge will be open 7am-10pm. See you at the Lake!!
